Having dealt with hundreds of purchasers and sellers over time I can tell you that the types of personalities who purchase and successfully run businesses varies tremendously. I do believe, however, that there are common characteristics exhibited by these individuals. They have an above average desire to succeed and control their own destiny. They would rather lead than follow or at least prefer to march to the beat of their own drummer. They like to work and enjoy a challenge. They see defects as opportunities for improvement not insurmountable obstacles. they are persistent! They set goals and follow through.
